Dr. J. Michael Epps joined The Woman's Clinic in 1982 after completing his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia. He is from Huntsville, Alabama and graduated from Rhodes College for undergraduate school. Dr. Epps graduated from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and has been board certified since 1984. Particularly interested in pelviscopic surgery, he is a member of the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons. In addition, Dr. Epps belongs to the TMA, AAPS, Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Gynaekologie and Geburtshilfe, and ACOG. Active hospital privileges are held at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Dr. Epps is married to Jackson native Carolyn Jaco Epps and has two children. He is a member of the Grace-St. Lukes Episcopal Church and hobbies include golf and tennis, as well as travel, especially abroad to German-speaking countries. Effective August 1, 2007, Dr. Epps will only be seeing gynecological patients.
