How does the Lyra-i from Laserscope differ from other lasers?
The Laserscope Lyra-i 1064 nm laser produces a deeply penetrating, consistently therapeutic wavelength. This combination of the wavelength, long pulses and safe therapeutic energies makes the Lyra laser unique when compared with most other laser systems. The principal reason for this design was to produce a system that would be safe and effective on all skin types, including very dark and tanned patients. Before Lyra systems became available, no other laser could be used on all skin tones.
How long has it been around?
Lyra-i is the newest generation of a laser series introduced in 1999, and has been cleared by the FDA for the safe and effective treatment of all skin types, including those who wish to be treated while tanning.
Is it widely recognized?
Hundreds of Lyra laser systems are in use around the world by many prominent physicians in aesthetic medicine. In fact many of the famous faces in the world are kept youthful by Lyra's unique ability to treat facial wrinkles.
Under what circumstances would a physician use the Laserscope Lyra-i as opposed to other lasers?
Many lasers can not safely be used on tanning patients or on all skin types. A physician would select the Lyra laser to safely and effectively treat facial wrinkles, leg veins, and unwanted hair.

The Woman’s Clinic, is happy to add aesthetic laser treatments to its services offered. The Coatsland Cosmetic Clinic was created to provide you, our patients, with a safe, physician supervised laser clinic and professional skin care boutique. We currently use two lasers, the Lyra i and Aura, both from Laserscope. The Lyra is a hair reduction laser that permanently reduces unwanted body and facial hair. The Aura treats unsightly leg veins and pigmented lesions. Whether you want to clear acne lesions and reduce the severity of future outbreaks; permanently reduce unwanted hair on your face, underarms, legs or bikini area; reduce the appearance of blood veins and capillaries on your legs; eliminate age or sun spots, wrinkles or rosacea; or rejuvenate your facial skin, your aesthetic laser needs can be met.
- Bikini Area - A 6 treatment package that includes a 20% discount is $480.00. Or you can pay $100 on a per treatment basis.
- Lip Area -A 4 treatment package that includes a 20% discount is $240.00. Or you can pay $75 on a per treatment basis.
- Chin Area - A 4 treatment package that includes a 20% discount is $240.00. Or you can pay $75 on a per treatment basis.
- Arms - A 6 treatment package that includes a 20% discount is $480.00. Or you can pay $100 on a per treatment basis.
- Legs - Price is for both legs. A six treatment package is $1920.00. Or you can pay $400 per treatment.
- Underarms - A 6 treatment package that includes a 20% discount is $480.00. Or you can pay $100 on a per treatment basis.
Permanent reduction of unwanted hair from virtually any part of the body. May be used for all ethnic groups and skin colors including tanned skin. The average is 6-10 treatments and are performed 4 weeks apart.
Spider Veins and Broken Capillaries
With our advanced laser systems, you will see noticeable improvements after one or two treatments. The average is 3-5 treatments that are performed 12 weeks apart. Treatments can be purchased separately for $100 per treatment or $240.00 for a 3 treatment package.
Enhanced Skin Rejuvenation
This treatment includes the elimination of vascular and pigmented irregularities including sun damage, skin discoloration, reduction of small facial blood vessels and wrinkles. These multiple laser treatments really work and have virtually no down time. The average is 5-7 treatments, 4 weeks apart. Treatments can be purchased separately for $400 per treatment or $960.00 for a 3 treatment package.
SUN Spots
Brown flat spots associated with aging and/or sun exposure. Expect the area to turn darker in hours and flake off in about one week. Dark brown spots may require two or more treatments for full resolution. $50 for one session or $100 for 3 sessions.
