Ideal Protein with Lacinda Butler N.P.

Q: What is Ideal Protein?
A:
The Ideal Protein weight loss method is a four-phase protocol that was medically designed to assist patients in fat reduction while sparing the muscle mass.

Q: What are the scientific principles behind the Ideal Protein method?
A:
This protocol was developed over 20 years ago in France. This weight loss method helps to stabilize the pancreas and blood sugar levels while burning fat, allowing the patient to lose weight rapidly. The weight reduction is noticeable on the scales as well as noticed in inches lost.

Q: What makes Ideal Protein different from every other diet?
A:
We all know that by lowering our caloric intake, we will lose weight; this is the reason most diets base their plan on lowering calories only. On the other hand, the Ideal Protein diet protocol takes a different track- we encourage the minimum daily protein requirement, eliminate fat intake, and reduce carbohydrates. In doing this, the muscle mass is spared, therefore, forcing the body into the “fat burning” mode 24 hours a day.

Q: What are the guidelines that those on the Ideal Protein method should follow (e.g. are there specific foods they must eat?)?
A:
Our dieters will follow the guideline according to the phase of the diet they are on. In the weight loss phase, they will consume four cups of non-starchy vegetables and unlimited daily salad along with four servings of protein per day. Three of the four daily protein servings are supplements that you will buy from the woman’s Clinic. Each dieter is also given proper vitamins to replace electrolytes that they would normally get from food groups that are temporarily taken away.

Q: If followed correctly, what can be expected by using Ideal Protein?
A:
If the Ideal Protein protocol is followed correctly, women should typically lose 3-5 pounds per week and men should typically lose 4-7 pounds per week.

Q: How fast will the patient gain back the weight once they stop taking the given protein supplements?
A:
If they stay on the maintenance, they should not gain the weight back; that is why Ideal Protein is called YOUR LAST DIET. However, if they gain five or more pounds above their goal, then they should follow phase 1 for 1-2 weeks to shed those pounds and then go back to maintenance.

Q: How expensive is it to follow the Ideal Protein method?
A:
The first visit is $100 for the consultation fee (if you come with a partner then each would pay $50) and the starter kit is $150 plus tax.  Each week after that, patients can expect to pay $60-$100 per week, depending on how many supplements the patient buys per week.

Q: Is Ideal Protein only intended for certain groups of people (e.g. obese people, women, etc.)
A:
Ideal Protein is intended for all patients who want to lose weight. Here at the Woman’s Clinic, we even have men and children that are on the diet (Children under the age of 17 will need a letter from their pediatrician prior to starting the weight loss plan.). Contraindications include pregnant or lactating females, those who have had a heart attack within the last six months, those with active cancer or who have been less than three years cancer free, and those with a severe liver and/or kidney disease (written consent must be obtained by the primary care physician as well as an ongoing monitor of the patient with liver or kidney problems).

Q: In conclusion, why should someone decide to begin the Ideal Protein method?
A:
Ideal Protein is a protein diet that has amazing results helping one to achieve their weight loss goal. Not only providing you with weight reduction, Ideal Protein helps patients to feel better; be more active; and decrease or be taken off medications such as blood pressure medications, cholesterol medications, and even diabetic medications. Our goal is to help you become a healthier you!
